Rand Lumber Company was founded in 1905 when Mr. Rand, then a farmer, purchased his first sawmill for $700. The planing mill was later built in the 1920s. Farmers used to bring their logs to Rand during the winter to be cut into lumber.

The mill operated under steam power until the late 1950s, when it switched over to electricity. Since then, we have added a kiln for drying freshly-cut lumber, a debarker, a chipper, and other machinery to increase production and maintain quality.

After 90 years of growing our business, we have gained much experience, and many friends. We plan to continue to grow to suit your ever-changing needs for quality lumber and building supplies, and hope to keep meeting new friends as we go.
